On September 3, 2024, six graduates from Cohorts 24.5 and 25 of Electric Boat’s Operations Supervisor Career Development Program presented their final capstone projects to Operations leadership. The capstone project is the final component of the two-year Career Development Program, which features trade training, multiple rotations, leadership seminars, a mentor program and various other development opportunities.

Each participant had a capstone problem statement focused on a challenge that directly effects them and/or their crew, allowing them to develop a solution to their real-world scenario using skills gained through the development program. They each had 10 minutes to present their capstone project, followed by five minutes to field questions from leadership. As part of their presentations, the participants had to provide solid action items for follow up and summarize their plan going forward to implement the changes.

Following the capstone presentations, a graduation ceremony was held on September 6 at the Mystic Marriott. The graduation was attended by leadership from Operations and Ship’s Management, as well as members of the executive staff, including Kevin Graney, Mark Rayha, Emil Casciano and Eric Snider.
