We are just one week away from the 2026 AHA Eastern Connecticut Heart Walk on October 3, 2026, at UConn Avery Point and this is our moment to finish strong. We’ve built incredible momentum, and now we’re within striking distance of something big.
Right now, Electric Boat is holding second place, behind Mohegan Sun by just under $10,000. That difference is absolutely within reach, but only if we make this final week count. The torch is within our grasp, and with one last united push, we can take the top spot.
What’s Driving Us Forward:
- We have three walkers in the top five individual fundraisers.
- We have three teams in the top five fundraising teams.
- Our employees have shown enormous spirit, commitment, and heart.
Now we need the final surge: register, donate, and rally your team. Even small contributions this week could be what puts us over the edge.

Our AHA EB Pet Pageant giving our furry friends a chance to help us fundraise. You can sign your pet up for the pageant and bring them along to join us at the walk on October 3, 2026 at UConn Avery Point. As a reminder, the pet that raises the most money for the walk receives a prize. It’s a fun way to get even more people (and pets) involved while boosting your fundraising efforts.

If you have a fundraising account through Charter Oak Credit Union, you may be eligible for matching donations. This can double your impact instantly. If you’ve already raised funds but haven’t submitted your information for the match, visit your nearest branch as soon as possible. Every matched dollar helps push us closer to first place.
