Electric Boat (EB) Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) play a vital role in supporting our diverse workforce while contributing to the success of our business.

Formed to raise awareness and celebrate different cultures, communities, and experiences, these employee‑led groups foster a stronger sense of unity and belonging. ERGs cultivate an inclusive environment where employees can connect, share their experiences and knowledge, and develop personally and professionally. In turn, these groups help EB strengthen innovation, productivity, and retention across our workforce.

We are excited to announce the launch of the Native Americans & Indigenous People of Electric Boat (NAIP) ERG this November in recognition of Native American Heritage Month. NAIP shares in the common goal held by all EB ERGs: to further cultivate an inclusive workplace culture where employees and allies can come together to learn, grow, and contribute to a supportive and empowered community.

NAIP’s mission is to create an inclusive community for Indigenous and Native American employees, allies, and all EB employees by celebrating Indigenous heritage, perspectives, and contributions across EB and the communities where we live and work. NAIP is committed to creating opportunities for connection, professional development, education, and advocacy while empowering employees to bring their authentic selves to work. Through collaboration, leadership, and community engagement, we strive to strengthen EB’s workforce, inspire future shipbuilders, and support an environment where all voices are valued and celebrated.

Monthly membership meetings and NAIP‑sponsored events will begin in January 2027, kicking off a series of cultural, educational, and community‑focused initiatives. All EB employees are welcome to join NAIP and any EB ERG.

NAIP’s Strategic Goals are:

  1. Create an inclusive community for Indigenous and Native American employees, allies, and all EB employees by celebrating Indigenous heritage, perspectives, and contributions across EB and the communities where we live and work.
  2. Advance NAIP’s mission and awareness through education, career development, heritage celebrations, and community service.
  3. Increase awareness and understanding of Indigenous topics within EB and the communities where we live and work.
  4. Foster an inclusive culture where NAIP members, allies, and all EB employees can connect, grow, and celebrate Indigenous heritage and perspectives throughout the organization.

We are excited to welcome new members and create meaningful opportunities to learn, connect, and celebrate together this winter.

Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are voluntary, employee-led groups that aim to foster a diverse, inclusive workplace aligned with the organizations they serve and are open to all employees. ERGs are key champions of workplace inclusion efforts, providing a direct benefit to both employees and the business through professional development, awareness and education. Electric Boat supports the formation of ERGs to foster diversity and encourage employees to share information, recognize achievements and interact with fellow employees on an informal basis.
