You are currently viewing Pride Month Celebrations at Electric Boat

June 1st marks the start of Pride Month, a time for millions of LGBTQ+ individuals and allies around the world to come together in celebration and reflection. From film festivals and art shows, to marches and concerts, Pride is a vibrant tribute to LGBTQ+ culture, history and the relentless spirit of activism. It’s a chance to honor how far we have come while staying mindful of the work still ahead in the pursuit of true equality.

We celebrate in June to remember the 1969 Stonewall Riots, the spark that started it all. Since that turning point, the community and its allies have worked tirelessly for the right to marry, start families, and live free from discrimination. At its heart, Pride is about the simple, fundamental right to exist exactly as we are.

Exercising Electric Boat’s Core Value to Value Each Other feels more important now than ever, ensuring that everyone feels valued and heard. Pride is our time to lift each other up and celebrate the incredible individuals who make our community and our world so much brighter.

Throughout the month, EQUAL will be hosting events for employees, friends, and families. We’d love for you to join us as we connect, recharge, and celebrate the beautiful strides we’ve made together.
