Each year, EB recognizes employees who have reached 40 years of service with Electric Boat. This entails a celebratory dinner at the Mystic Marriott, where 40-year employees enjoy a meal, have their photo taken in their 40-year jacket and are honored among fellow colleagues.
While it was upsetting to postpone the celebrations for the 2020 and 2021 Distinguished Shipbuilders due to COVID, we’re excited to finally be able to celebrate you and your 40 years of hard work, dedication and contributions to Electric Boat and our nation’s defense.
We will be holding both the 2020 and 2021 40-year dinner celebrations this year and invitations have been sent. As a reminder, the dinner for 2020 Distinguished Shipbuilders is taking place on June 3, 2022, and the dinner for the 2021 Distinguished Shipbuilders is on June 17, 2022.
By now you should have RSVP’d for your 40-year dinner. If you have not done so already, please RSVP by next Friday, May 13.
We need to know in advance who is coming to ensure the correct number of seats and meals are available. If an RSVP is not received by May 13, we will have to assume you cannot make it.
40 years of service is a major accomplishment, and we look forward to making sure you have an enjoyable evening of recognition and celebration. Thank you for your service to Electric Boat.
