We’re happy to announce that Electric Boat will continue our normal, longstanding tradition this year with in-person Veterans Day observances. On Wednesday, November 10, there will be three 15-minute ceremonies held for first, second and third-shift employees outside by the main gate flag pole in Groton.
As in previous years, employees who attend one of the observances will receive a 2021 Veterans Day commemorative pin.
While we gather together to honor our service members past and present, please make your best effort to maintain a social distance of at least six feet from your colleagues. If you are a current or past member of the armed services, feel free to wear a commemorative hat, shirt or pin to work; be proud for putting the cause of freedom and needs of others before yourself. And as always, if you encounter a veteran, please thank them for their service and for giving us the opportunity to live in freedom.

6:15 a.m. – 6:30 a.m.
1st Shift Ceremony (will be recorded and livestreamed on Intranet Homepage; you must be on the EB Network to view)
11:00 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.

2nd Shift Ceremony
4:00 p.m. – 4:15 p.m.
Veterans, union representatives and active-duty Navy personnel are scheduled to speak at all three ceremonies. Select members from Electric Boat’s singing group SubTones will perform the National Anthem at the start of each ceremony and Eternal Father (one verse) at the conclusion of each ceremony.
