Fellow Shipbuilders,
A few months back we excitedly announced our relaunch of the EB Veterans Network (EBVN). As always, our mission is to unite all employees in support of veterans at EB and in our community. For the past several months we have been working on supporting and promoting the recruitment of veterans, supporting programs and actively participating in local community outreach opportunities.
Most recently, this past August we had the pleasure of collaborating with Diversity and Inclusion, Talent Acquisition, and Women in Defense to host a booth at the Military Appreciation Day event at Ocean Beach Park in New London. Here, one of our fellow veterans and Electric Boat employees, James K. Brown of Dept. 272, was honored with the Connecticut Veterans Wartime Service Medal.
While this is just one of the many activities we’ve been a part of the past several months, we are excited to participate in many more events that are to come. As we look towards future initiatives, we would like to take this moment to reacquaint you with our Executive Committee and a few other members of our EBVN community.
