You are currently viewing September 3, 2020 – Free Tutoring Through Homework Connection

With many parents balancing work and home life, COVID-19 continues to affect those with children who will be learning from home this fall. To better help our families at EB, we are now offering a free tutoring benefit through Homework Connection. This benefit is offered by our already established, reputable LifeCare vendor that provides Backup Care for urgent childcare needs.

Homework Connection provides access to thousands of online tutors to help your child with their at home assignments, projects and papers. This benefit is at no cost to you and will be automatically included in your existing employee benefits package. Each family will be allotted 5 hours of tutoring per month.

There are three main components to using the online tutoring:

  • Use real time tutoring. Over 3000 expert tutors are on demand 24/7 for grades K-12 and some college courses, with experience in over 100 subjects.
  • Drop-off reviews for essays, reports, creative writing, and even resumes and cover letters. Tutors can review written items and provide grade level appropriate feedback.
  • Self-study tools are also available in the SkillsCenter Library which includes Early Edge Videos, AP test prep videos, practice tests and worksheets for a variety of subjects.

When you sign up and log in to Homework connection, you are able to connect with a tutor in about 2 minutes. You are also able to schedule a session if desired. Simply select the topic your child is looking for help with, the grade level and enter any questions in the bottom box. Once that is complete you are ready to connect!

The online platform is a safe and secure learning environment.

  • All tutors pass a comprehensive, third-party security check and education verification.
  • No personal information is shared between students and tutors, and no personal information is collected by Homework Connection except an email address.
  • Every session is fully recorded and automated software scans sessions to ensure private information is not shared.

Learn more and sign up today! Registration code is GDEB.
