This week marks the 18th anniversary of the terror attacks on US citizens on our own soil. It is a time many of us will never forget. It is also a reminder of why what we do is so important.
Please take a moment with your team this week to reflect on how important our work is to the nation. The US Navy defends our freedoms and, when necessary, takes the fight to foreign lands so that we can rest easy each night without the uncertainty and fear of threats to our families and friends.
We build vessels that keep terror at bay. Every single person in this company contributes to that cause. Whether we design, procure, manufacture, assemble, test, certify or support those who do, we take part in ensuring our nation stays free.
Be passionate about our work because it is vital.
Be unshakable in doing what’s right because the Navy deserves the best we can give.
Be proud of the work we do and DO IT WELL because we have an obligation to Deliver the Advantage that Protects our Sailors, our Family and our Freedom.
