The theme was also included in this year’s three competitions: DETECT Challenge, Elevator Speech and Junkyard Wars. Ray Zimmerman won the Elevator Speech competition. David Hufner, Kedrick Swain and Guillermo Rivera each won one of the three challenges in the DETECT Challenge. Silent but Deadly, a team consisting of Art Marcelynas, Dean Myllymaki, Nathan St. Pierre, Stephen Ganz and Tim Stankewicz, won Junkyard Wars.
