The Summer High School Intern Program, or SHIP, is a work-based learning internship aimed at expanding students’ knowledge of work experience before their transition into the workplace. EB partners with local high schools to select a handful of students with technical experience for the six-week summer internship program.
This past summer, 26 students participated in the program. One of those students was Safa Danesh of Waterford High School. On Thursday, October 18, Safa received a $20K MLK Scholarship at the King Scholarship Dinner held at the Mystic Marriott Ballroom—12 students were honored with scholarships.
This year marked the 50th Anniversary of the Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Trust Fund.
