Last week, I announced a new organizational structure that I believe will streamline our company, create clearer lines of accountability and sharpen our focus. I mentioned several other organizational changes coming, and am pleased to announce these today:
Now reporting to John Leonard, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will be:
•Joseph Drake, Vice President, Facilities Master Plan. This is a new position, with responsibility for oversight of the $2 billion project that will strengthen our infrastructure, expand our footprint and enable us to deliver both Virginia and Columbia to the Navy. Joe is a recognized expert in leading large, complex facilities expansions. He joined Gulfstream as Director of Real Estate in 2007 and was named Vice President of Real Estate and Facilities at Gulfstream in 2013. Joe received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kentucky.
As a result of this change, Paul Dagle, Director, Facilities, will be responsible for the maintenance of current facilities at Groton and will report to Jim Gildart, Vice President of Groton Operations.
•Mark Rayha, Vice President, Finance. Mark was most recently Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of General Dynamics Mission Systems and previously served as Staff Vice President, Financial Planning and Analysis for General Dynamics. He recently celebrated 30 years with General Dynamics. Mark earned a Bachelor of Business degree, with concentrations in accounting and finance, from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the same institution in 2009.
•Ken Jeanos, Chief Information Officer. Ken joins Electric Boat after nearly 30 years with Panasonic Corporation of North America where he most recently served as President and Chief Information Officer. He also held the roles of Vice President of Business Operations, Group Manager of Operations and IT, and product, project and sales management positions with the company. Ken has a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from the Montclair State University in New Jersey.
Now reporting to Kurt Hesch, Senior Vice President, Program & Planning will be:
•Mike Gresh, Director, Integrated Product Design Environment (IPDE). In this new role, Mike will continue to lead development and implementation of the suite of IPDE tools and processes. Mike served as Electric Boat’s CIO for 6 years (2013-19), and recently marked his fortieth year with the company.
•Tom Plante, Director, Strategic Sourcing. Tom’s new role will include strategic planning, supplier and supply chain infrastructure development. Tom joined Electric Boat in 1984, and was most recently the Director of Strategic Planning.
Our new organization puts an emphasis on operational excellence, and the strength each of these professionals brings will help us execute on our important mission efficiently and effectively.
