On Thursday, November 10, Electric Boat’s Workforce Development team, in partnership with the Southeastern New England Defense Industry Alliance (SENEDIA), visited the fifth grade students at North Stonington Elementary School. The school is taking part in Electric Boat’s elementary-level “Boat for Kids” program, which exposes fourth- and fifth-grade students to the world of manufacturing.

The students participated in a welding exercise that used Cheez Whiz and crackers to simulate welding. In addition, the students were able to simulate welding utilizing a virtual welder.
